IIIT-Bhagalpur is definitely better being mentored by IIT Guwahati and permanent campus started building. Leave the IIIT tag alone, it provides best facilities, approved by MHRD as institute of National Importance.

I would Suggest to go for NIT Silchar for mechanical or even Agartala is also better option among all as per my view as NIT - Agartala and NIT- Silchar have a good placement as per last 3year track record. And thus, the question for your answer is Silchar NIT is best for Mechanical as per view.

One NIT is in Sikkim and same for Mizoram. However, these NITs are quite low ranked due to various factors. Still, it's a prestigious college.
