No, you are not required to appear in both MP TET Paper 1 & 2. The MP TET test is divided into two papers: Paper 1 is for those who wish to teach Classes I to V. Paper 2 is for those who want to teach Classes VI to VIII. Candidates who wish to teach Class I to VIII must appear in both Paper 1 & Paper 2.

The MP TET examination has 150 questions, each is for one mark. Candidates do not lose marks if they answer incorrectly. To be eligible, candidates must score at least 60% marks. The exam is divided into two papers.

In the MP TET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. MP TET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the MP TET exam.
