Maharashtra HSC exam carries 5 compulsory subjects including English. Candidates have the option to choose 6th additional subject in Class 12. The total marks allotted to the test are 500 or 600 depending upon the number of subjects. Minimum 35% marks are required to be scored by candidates in the exam.

Maharashtra HSC 2026 will be conducted from February 10 and March 11, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The Morning shift will be from 11 am to 2 PM. The exam for the evening shift will be conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Maharashtra HSC exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. More than 15 Lacs students appear for the exam. To clear the exam, candidates need to prepare well.

No, candidates who did not complete their Class 12 board exams from the MSBSHSE board are still eligible to apply for BCom admissions at Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC). Any candidate who has cleared Class 12 board exams from a recognised board will be considered during BCom admissions. The aggregate and stream of a candidates does not matter for BCom admissions.
