If you are applying for any degree course, you cannot apply for direct admission. To be admitted to a degree programme such as the B.Sc. you must take the NCHMCT JEE exam. On the other hand, if you are applying for any Certificate or Diploma course offered by a particular IHM, you can apply for direct admission.

The faculty is very supportive and very educated. They are all working in good 5-star hotels 30:70. Term exams were semester wise and there was an internal assessment that helps students in knowing the pattern. It is the best college in Mumbai.

As of now, more than 30 companies have come for the 2022 batch, and many more are lined up. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA by Hawkins. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Companies primarily hire for the Management Trainee program.

IHM Mumbai sees every hotel company in the country visiting it during the placement season. And these companies come in with their best programs for placements, generally called MT Programs (Management Trainee programs).

Unlike some B-schools and Engg. schools, there is no pay variances between campuses as long as you make it for the same program. That is to say whether you get selected from IHM Mumbai, Pusa, Chennai, or Shimla, if you make it to say OCLD, your pay structure remains the same.

Other than hotels, there are other industries too that come in for campus recruitments - QSRs, Travel firms, Airlines, Retail, Infrastructure manag

The top companies that take part in the placement drive at Institute of Hotel Management Mumbai are ITC, Maurya, Taj, Oberoi, and Hyatt. About 99% of students were placed at IHM Pusa, which indicates a high placement rate.

Yes, the Institute of Hotel Management Mumbai offers hostel facilities to students. Both girl's and boys' hostels are located on campus. The boys' hostel has well-furnished rooms that are usually given out on a triple-sharing basis, Additionally, there is an NRI hostel for girls with 9 rooms equipped with a kitchenette.

The hostel accommodation for boys is also available and has well-furnished rooms on a triple-sharing basis. Students with a high AIR rank can also get into the NRI hostel, which is air-conditioned and has good facilities. The hostel provides a calm and patient atmosphere for students

The mess food at NIFT, Mumbai is considered to be the really good, where they serve a variety of dishes both in veg and non-veg. 
NIFT, Mumbai also provides hostel facilities to its students, and each hostel is well-equipped with essential amenities such as a laundry room, internet lab, library, TV room, basketball court, and gymnasium.
