Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar campus offers many courses under informal and non informal streams of education. In the non informal stream this Institute is affiliated to the Kashmir university and this university awards degrees post graduate degrees and also certificates to the students who pass out. On the other hand the informal courses that this Institute conducts includes an undergraduate Diploma in almost 15 different subjects. The duration of the scores is about 6 months. This UG Diploma is part of informal courses that this institute offers and hence the student will have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by this institute. Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar offers different courses and for each course the qualifying examination is different and also the procedure for getting admission differs for formal and informal courses. Yes with your marks of about 70% in class 12th I am sure you will get admission in any of the informal or formal courses definitely. Of course you will have to register yourself online and then appear for an entrance exam if you are interested in any of the informal course that this Institute offers. Hello Nishar Ahmed, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology at Srinagar grants admission for informal courses is based on an entrance exam that the institute conducts twice in a year. Merit in this examination will determine the admission. For formal courses, for which the certificate and degree is awarded by the University to which this Institute is attached, there is no entrance exam and the admissions are given based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. This autonomous Institute which works under the ministry of electronics and information technology of the Government of India conducts an all India entrance examination twice in a year. It offers a variety of courses at different levels. Even undergraduate Diploma is offered in 15 different subjects. The basic eligibility criteria for this course is the passing of the 12th standard in J&K board of secondary education or its equivalent across India.
