In my opinion you have to take B.A (arts) because it give you extra time to prepare for nda.In semester paper you have to write anything or top 10 question, your academic exam will over.And rest of the time you always prepare for your nda examination serioulsy.If u take btech/physics or math hons, you have to work hard, have to give time for academic as well but also an advantage is that you are eligible for nda exam at graduation level also.

The National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy Course offer admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings through the NDA exam. To choose qualified applicants for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA), the CDS exam is administered. The syllabus for CDS and NDA differs. The NDA syllabus is divided into classes 10, 11, and 12. In contrast, the CDS syllabus adheres to graduation-level standards. The pyschological tests in NDA SSB interview comprises the following:

Thematic Apperception Test: This is similar to the picture test and is hard and intense.

Word Association Test: This is similar to a picture test, but the pictures are replaced by words

Situation Reaction Test:  In this test, candidates will be presented with some situations and then you have to write about your responses to these situations.

Self Description Test: In this test, candidates have to talk about themselves, personal life, etc.

NDA syllabus is prescribed by the examination authority. The syllabus comprises the topics that candidates need to prepare for the exam. NDA 2019 Syllabus comprises of Mathematics & General Ability sections. National Defense Academy NDA is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces. The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts a national level exam called as NDA Exam. The NDA Exam pattern comprises of Mathematics subject and General Ability.
