You stand a good chance of getting accepted into a government BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) college with a NEET score of 433—especially if you fall into a restricted category. The number of candidates exam difficulty and seat availability are some of the elements that affect the BAMS NEET cutoff which changes every year. The qualifying percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories is approximately the 40th percentile (161-127 marks) but the general category's qualifying percentile usually falls between the 50th percentile (720-162 marks).
You might be in the competitive range for admission based on your score.

Marks and Fee Structure for MBBS Admissions

  • With a score of 400 in NEET 2024, you might have a better chance at private medical colleges.

  • Private Medical Colleges: Generally, you can expect to secure a seat in private colleges with this score. The fees typically range from INR 4 Lacs to 8 lakhs per year.

  • Government Medical Colleges: It might be challenging to get a seat in top government colleges with a 400 score, as cutoffs for these institutions are usually higher, but some state-level government colleges might be within reach if you meet the category-specific cutoffs.

You could have a scope for getting admission in government or semi-government medical colleges if your score is around 480 in NEET, mainly in states whose cutoffs are lower than average, or for other categories, though it does completely depend on the category and college. Top medical colleges under government in metropolis cities tend to take up people with higher scores so 480 marks does not really guarantee admission here. You can explore government medical colleges in states that have relatively lesser competition, and also semi-government or private medical colleges with a lower fee structure. Your prospects of getting a government BAMS seat in Kerala with a NEET score of 410 would rely on your category and the particular cutoffs for that year. Due to relaxation of qualifying requirements the NEET cutoff scores for candidates in the general category in the government BAMS colleges in the 2023 generally varied between 420 and 450 marks with lower thresholds for the reserved categories (such SC/ST). Competition and ticket availability are the other important factors.

About 193 government BAMS seats are available in Kerala and admission handled by the state counselling authority (CEE Kerala) in accordance with the 85% state quot

With a NEET score of 410, your admission chances in Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will highly depend on the category of your admission, whether you are general, OBC, SC, or ST, and exactly what the cutoff is going to be for that year.

In previous years, NEET cutoffs for BUMS at AMU have always been quite competitive, with a general category student needing much higher scores, approximately 470-500. However, there are less cutoffs for reserved categories. Continue to keep track of the updates on AMU's admission portal.
