No, NIELIT O-level is slightly more advanced than CCC. It is a one-year Diploma course that provides education in Computer Science and Engineering. It is nearly equivalent to a Polytechnic Diploma and is slightly tougher. In this course, students learn about programming, multimedia, ICT, etc. NIELIT CCC is a certificate course, where only a basic computer knowledge test is conducted, which consists of details about hardware, software, number systems, spreadsheets, word processors, etc.

Yes, there is an entrance exam for NIELIT. The exam of NIELIT is taken for admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including:
Non-Formal Courses - 'O' Level (Foundation), 'A' Level (Advance Diploma), 'B' Level (MCA equivalent), 'C' Level (M-Tech level)
IT literacy courses: CCC (Course on Computer Concept), BCC (Basic Computer Course) and similar long-term and short-term courses.
The NIELIT exam is conducted twice a year, in January and July.

Candidates can obtain their NIELIT admit card exclusively through the official NIELIT Student Portal. Exam authorities do not send admit cards via email or post.

The NIELIT syllabus is published online at nielit.gov.in. The candidates can verify the units and topics is available by going through the NIELIT syllabus. To prepared well for the exam, the candidates are recommended to verify the official syllabus so that they know the topics to be covered. Course-wise syllabus will be published online.

The NIELIT O level will be conducted as a pen-and-paper test. The students have to attempt four theory papers and one practical exams. The theory exam will be of objective multiple-choice type. Each paper will be of 100 marks. There will be no adverse marking for wrong answers. NIELIT O level is conducted twice a year.

NIELIT results will be declared online by the officials. To get the result, the candidates will need to log in with the necessary credentials. The candidates will need to submit their exam year, name, roll number and date of birth to log in and view their result. No other method will be adopted for announcing the NIELIT results.
