There are three Masters degrees being offered by NIFT- M.Des MFM and M.FTech. Preparation strategy differs for all three. Please specify which master degree you want to prepare for. Details of all three are available at www.nift.ac.in.

Written exam structure for all UG programs is as under:
1. General ability test (GAT)
a) Quantitative Ability
b) Communication Ability
c) English Comprehension
d) Analytical Ability
e) General Knowledge and Current Affairs
f) Case study (In case of B.FTech programme)
Total No. Of questions=100 ( For B. Des) and 150 for B. Ftech
Time duration= 120 Minutes (For B. Des) and 180 for B. Ftech

Why not?
3 months are more than enough to crack NIFT. All you have to do is -
Observe the things around you very sharply (even the smallest details).
Get some basic knowledge about the colors and color schemes. (What each color depicts, like yellow for cheerfulness and violet or dark shade for gloom).
Improve your English, questions are asked on that. Try to improve you vocabulary and increase your reading time. About 57 passages are given in both B. Des and B.F Tech, so you must know how to read fast and grasp important points. Basic Maths.
