NIFT Entrance Exam

NIFT GAT 2026 answer key will contain the official keys to all the questions asked in the entrance exam. Answer key will be released for each booklet series. Candidates have to download the answer key for their relevant question booklet. The answer key can be used by the candidate to compare their answers. After checking the number of correct attempts, candidates can calculate the number of correct attempts and probable score.

Candidates must remember the following points for NIFT.

• Answer key will only be released for the GAT paper
• No answer keys will be released for the CAT paper
• Answer key has to be downloaded online from the NID admission portal
• Candidate will be given the option to challenge the NIFT answer key
• To make a challenge, the candidate will have to pay INR 500 per challenge. The final answer key will be released after considering all challenges filed by candidates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the draft answer keys for NIFT 2026 in February 2026. The answer key is released online at the NTA NIFT admission portal - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.

To download the NIFT answer key

1. Go to the NTA NIFT admission portal 
2. Click on the answer key link
3. In the log-in window, enter your roll number, programme of study, question booklet series, and date of birth
4. On successful login, you can download the answer key.

NIFT 2026 answer key will be released programme wise for GAT test.

• Download the answer key for their respective program.
• Next, compare teir answers with the official version to calculate the number of correct attempts.
• Then, using the official marking scheme, calculate probable scores.
• Probable scores can be used by the candidate to assess the chances of admission.

NIFT draft key will be released in February. Final key will be released in April 2026. Also, answer key is released only for the GAT written test.

The NIFT 2024 application fee is category-specific. The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category. Meanwhile, those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD Category need to pay only INR 1,500. The application fee has to be paid online using net banking, credit, or debit cards. The application fee will have to be paid at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. Note that payment made using demand draft will not be accepted.

The NIFT 2026 written exam is the 1st stage of the entrance exam and includes the CAT and GAT. The results for the NIFT written exam will be announced sometime in April 2026. Candidates seeking admission to the PG courses at the NIFTs need to appear in a Personal Interview after qualifying the written exam. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the detailed schedule on its admission portal - niftadmissions. In. The slot booking process has to be conducted online. To book a slot, click on the relevant link, log in, and then select the campus and time slot from the available options. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Slot booking process for the NIFT Situation Test 2026 will be held a few weeks before the Situation Test. Slot booking process will be held online and will be open for candidates who have qualified in NIFT written exams. As part of the slot booking process, candidate needs to book their date and time slots for Situation Test. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The details of the slot allocated to the candidate, exam centre, and other key details will be mentioned on the admit card.
