NIFT Entrance Exam

NIFT draft key will be tentatively released on February 17, 2027. Final key was released on March 23, 2027. Also, the answer key is released only for the GAT written test.

The NIFT 2024 application fee is category-specific. The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category. Meanwhile, those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD Category need to pay only INR 1,500. The application fee has to be paid online using net banking, credit, or debit cards. The application fee will have to be paid at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. Note that payment made using demand draft will not be accepted.

The NIFT 2027 written exam is the 1st stage of the entrance exam and includes the CAT and GAT. The results for the NIFT written exam are expected to be announced on March 20, 2027.

Candidates seeking admission to the PG courses at the NIFTs need to appear in a Personal Interview after qualifying the written exam. The slot booking process for the Personal Interview will open soon after results of the NIFT written exams are declared. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the detailed schedule on its admission portal - niftadmissions. In. The slot booking process has to be conducted online. To book a slot, click on the relevant link, log in, and then select the campus and time slot from the available options. Note that slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Slot booking process for the NIFT Situation Test will be held a few weeks before the Situation Test. Slot booking process will be held online and will be open for candidates who have qualified in the NIFT written exams. As part of the slot booking process, candidates need to book their date and time slots for Situation Test. 

The Personal Interview for NIFT 2025 will be conducted for PG candidates, including M.Des M.FTech and MFM courses. The interview will be conducted on multiple days starting sometime in March 2025. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the detailed schedule soon after the declaration of NIFT 2025 written exam results. Note that candidates are required to book slots for appearing in the NIFT 2025 Personal Interview . The slot booking process will be conducted around the 2nd week of March. Note that slots will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The important dates of NIFT 2027 will cover the entire admission schedule of NIFT 2026 admission process. The important dates will therefore cover events like release of admission notification, application form, and admit cards, conduct of the exam, declaration of results, the counseling schedule, and date of commencement of classes. 

The NIFT 2024 application form correction window will open soon after the online application form closes. To make corrections in the form, the candidate needs to follow these steps: Go to the NIFT 2024 admission portal If the application correction window is open, the corresponding link will be activated Click on the link Log in using candidate credentials Upon log in, make the necessary change Submit the form after making the changes.

The candidate will have to select an exam centre for NIFT 2026 when filling out the application form.

After completing the registration process, log in to the application portal and click on the exam centre selection option. Then select your preferred city from the drop down menu.

The NIFT 2026 exam will be conducted across 82 centers in India. Note that each of these exam cities may have one or more exam centres.

The candidate can fill out the application form even if they don't meet the NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria. But note that the documents and the information provided by the candidate in the application form will be cross checked. And if any discrepancy is found, the candidate can be disqualified at any stage of the application process. So, it is recommended that the candidate carefully goes through the prescribed eligibilty criteria before filling out the form. Note that the NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria is programme-specific.
