The results of entrance exams such as the CAT, MAT, TANCET or any other state- or nationally-level MBA entrance exam are used by the institute to determine admission. Hi.At the PG level, NIMS - Nehru Institute of Management Studies provides a 2 years Master of Business Administration (MBA) course to the students. To get admission to this course, aspiring students must meet the minimum eligibility requirements - 50.0% in graduation. 

NIMS - Nehru Institute of Management Studies admission is both entrance and merit-based for programmes offered at PG levels. A few popular exams accepted by the institution for admission are TANCET, etc. However, for admission to MBA/PGDM, etc. courses, the college considers the scores of past academics for admission.

TANCET Counselling 2024 was concluded with the SCA to SC conversion counselling for admission to MBA/MCA courses. The TANCET 2025 dates for the next academic session are yet to be released.

Hi.The placements of NIMS are totally very good, more than 40 companies visited only for MBA. The most demanding students are from marketing followed by finance. They are also offering internships, and lots of companies are coming for the selection. During final placements, most of the companies are looking for south location, and the highest offer was 6 LPA, and most of the packages were around 3-4 LPA.

Frequently Visited Companies ; Wipro, HDFC Bank ; Mphasis, CSS Corp ; Tech Mahindra, ING Vysya Bank ; Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited(CPCL), IDBI etc.
