With a rank of 3000 in JEE Main (SC category), consider NITs like:

- NIT Patna

- NIT Kurukshetra

- NIT Jamshedpur

- MANIT Bhopal

- NIT Raipur

With 83 percentile and ranks 250606 (Gen) & 36043 (EWS), consider:

- Lower-tier NITs (NIT Sikkim, NIT Arunachal Pradesh)

- GFTIs (DCRUST, UIET Kurukshetra, HBTU Kanpur)

- State-level colleges (RTU, LNCT, VIT)

Apply to multiple colleges or explore management quota. Cutoffs vary annually.

With a 63,000 rank in JEE Mains and Bihar as your home state, consider:

- *NIT Patna*: Possible chance (cutoff: 40,309-43,151)

- *NIT Agartala*: Possible chance (cutoff: 51,656)

- *NIT Silchar*: Possible chance (cutoff: 44,300)

Yes, you can potentially get into some newer tier 3 and its or other government-funded Technical Institute with a JEE main rank of 135272 specialty under specific circumstances like reserve categories, home state quotas or less competitive branches.

Trying to get into NITs or IITs for B.Arch with NATA? Hate to break it to you—but NATA scores don't work there. NITs only accept JEE Main Paper 2, and IITs want you to clear JEE Advanced + the AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test). Save your NATA scores for private architecture schools or other institutes that actually accept it. For NIT/IIT, it's JEE route only—no shortcuts.

With an EWS girl rank of 26,982, getting into the A-list NITs for CSE or ECE is kinda tough. But don't lose hope—newer NITs, some IIITs, and GFTIs could still be in play for lesser-hyped branches. Keep all options open during JoSAA rounds. And yeah, if you've got home-state advantage, that's a win. Be ready to hustle through the rounds and grab what you can.

With 70% tile in JEE Mains and belonging to SC category getting into top NITs or GFTIS for CSE is unlikely however there is a possibility of getting a seat in some NITs or GFTIs with lower cutoffs through cseb special counselling or through other state level or private engineering colleges.

Yes, you can get NITs which have lower cutoffs but it would be very difficult to get admission in Top NITs and IIITs, as you belong to SC category so there may be chance you'll get an IIIT with less demanding and popular specialisation like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. With 70 percentile you can get NITs like NIT Patna, NIT Durgapur, NIT Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland. Although there are Government Funded Technology Institutes GFTI which offers admission at low percentiles.
