Is one supposed to apply on both the platforms? The basic difference is that once JoSAA completes its process of admissions for IITs, NITs and other colleges, CSAB conducts some special rounds (generally 2 rounds) to fill up the vacant seats of NITs, IIITs and other colleges (not for IITs).

According to your mentioned rank, you have high chances of getting CSE or ECE at NIT Meghalaya, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Delhi, NIT Goa and other core branches at the old NITs. You can use the college predictor tool available on our website to predict which colleges you can get.

Yes with that much of percentile you can secure admission in NITs. Basically you need above 80 percentile for NITs.
