It's really tough to predict percentile to get into NITs, As percentile is something which depends on many factors However For SC category Any Rank under 45k-50k will get NIT colleges for sure irrespective of the Branches.

No, you have to go for the counselling process. Few steps we have to do in it. Firstly we have to register for counselling then we have to fill choices of Branches and colleges then after that you get allotted colleges and branches on the basis of rank. This is a similar way of process which happens also for B.Tech courses counselling in NITs. If you want to know more in detail then I am sending you an authentic link from where you can get all information about the counselling process. Please check it out. link-https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/gate-exam-counselling.

Being a resident of Jalandhar City, I am well aware of LPU and I strongly recommend you to take admission in LPU. Although LPU requires NATA but With my best of my knowledge you can get an Admission in B.Arch in LPU. Programme Details
According to me their eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 and English must be studied as a subject. Along with this a candidate must have 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately
