Previously, All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) was the mode of getting admission in NITs, while IIT-JEE was the mode to get admission in IITs, but now both these entrance exams are replaced by a common exam called as JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). The low ranked NITs are Meghalaya, Arunachal, Mizoram and Hamirpur, Where cutoff ranks goes above 300000. Hence keeping the safe side you have to score above 80 percentile in JEE Mains for admission in NITs.

Percentile should be under top 20 and must score atleast 75% marks. This is what have mentioned online. Its better to find out the college and check the eligibility accordingly.
