The technology institute admits candidates to BTech courses based on merit in the JEE Main exam. There is no other provision for admission. Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores must also participate in the JoSAA counselling round for seat allotment. Yes, BIT Mesra offer a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course in a full-time mode. The two-year course is divided into semester patterns (four semesters). It is offered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of BIT. Admission to the PG-level course is based on the BIT MCA 2023 exam conducted by the institute. Additionally, it is also necessary that the course aspirants meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

For admission to a BTech course in BIT Mesra, candidate must be a Class 12 pass from a recognised board. Additionally, aspirant should have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects. Aspirant should have passed the qualifying exam with at least 60% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in an average of four subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Aspirant must further hold the relevant documents for verification purposes.

Candidates who are Class 12 pass with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
