BIT Mesra offers multiple scholarships as financial assistance to students. The institute provides scholarships to meritorious students based on the overall AIR (CLR) in JEE Main for BTech and BArch courses. Mesra campus of Ranchi has lush green land spread across 780 acres. Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra have all the modern infrastructure to cater to the academic needs of the students. It has two auditoriums, namely G.P. Birla Auditorium, with a seating capacity of 3000 students. Another is the CAT Auditorium; it has a seating capacity of 300.
The academic building includes 20 Departments and Centres, with proper research equipment. The institute also has separate hostels for boys and girls. In total, it has 14
hostels to accommodate over 4500 students and scholars. BIT Ranchi hostels have a separate TV hall, reading rooms, indoors sports hall, a guest hall and a common room. Family accommodation for over 500 faculty and staff members is also available on the campus of the institute. It also has a commercial complex and multiple shopping centres. In case of medical requirements, BIT Mesra also has a health centre, with an on-call doctor facility.
BIT Mesra infrastructure also includes multiple cafeterias to provide healthy and hygienic food options. It has the infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor games, such as chess, tennis, cricket, football, and volleyball, etc. The institute also houses 30 student clubs to organise different cultural and technical activities. To boost physical fitness among the students, the institute also has a large, well-equipped gym. BIT also has a central library, which has a vast collection of books, journals, textbooks, reference books, etc.

BIT Mesra offer a two-year MBA programme. The entire course is divided into four semesters. The curriculum of the first two semesters provides the foundation in basic management courses. The curriculum of third and fourth semester focuses on imparting in-depth training in conceptual and practical aspects of functional and sectoral specialisation and integrating courses.
If a candidate chooses to exit BSc curriculum at BIT Mesra within one year, they are awarded a Certificate in their chosen specialisation.
