Hi,
It is of course new NIT at Puducherry. But, there is really lots of things special in new ones (NITs) and the things you may never get anywhere else. Small institution so the opportunities are extremely high when compared to any other old NITs. I have to mention that faculty is highly knowledgeable. The best known fact everyone is aware of, is that since the beginning of NIT Puducherry there has been 0% ragging which is completely opposite of any other Institute in India.
