This is hard to predict about the package or salary because it all depends upon the kind of job, location, merit etc. If I presume you are asking about an average salary after completion of your graduation in Engineering then I can say it's between 18K and 35K

mechanical will be difficult for you in other states with that rank. but in your home state NIT if there is mechanical then you will surely get it.
