NEHU admissions generally begin in May every year. Admission to most of the courses at the university is entrance exam/merit-based. Candidates, however, for all courses are required to meet minimum eligibility criteria to get shortlisted for any and every course offered by NEHU. Yes, North Eastern Hill University accept the CUET scores for admission to its undergraduate courses. The university accpets CUET PG scores for its postgraduate courses.

As per a news report, the Education minister has stated that CUET exam score shall not be required for admission to undergraduate courses in colleges affiliated with North-Eastern Hill University.
