Deakin University provide various professional placements in first year of Nursing programme where students gain 800+ hours of experience. Students can choose from various electives including neonatal care, paediatrics or addiction.
In many postgraduate Nursing courses, students gain clinical experience in specialist roles.

Indian students are required to show that they have achieved minimum English scores in one of the following English language tests and meet the requirements for test results specified in the NMBA English language skills registration standard to get admission at Deakin:
IELTS score of 7.0 is mandatory
OET minimum score of B in each of the four bands
PTE Academic minimum score of 66

All Nursing courses either at UG level or PG level have different duration for Nursing programs. Students can refer the table mentioned below to know about the duration of various Nursing programs at Deakin-

The JCECE nursing test cities are decided by the conducting body, JCECEB. They release this list in the official prospectus every year for the aspirants. The cities are replaced also sometimes, and some new names get added, and older ones are dropped.

Candidates with some medical conditions can carry a transparent water bottle to the JCECE BSc Nursing test centre. However, prior permission must be taken from the authorities at the centre. If they don't allow for the same, it must not be taken to the exam hall.

There is no counselling process for selection to the MNS as DGMS does not conduct any counselling process for the aspirants. Candidates must appear for the PAT and medical fitness test to secure the seat in the college.
