You can do courses on Edx that provides free education, only you have to pay for the certification and that is optional. Also, you can do courses from Coursera by applying financial aid that gets accepted within 15 days.

Firstly, you should check which OS is being used in your college because it's better to stick with the technology that is being used in your college. Your college might provide you with some Rides which should be compatible with your OS. So, my suggestion is that you should wait and confirm the OS of your college and then load the same in your PC.

You can pick an OS between Windows or Ubuntu. As majority of Indian colleges operate on Windows, there are few colleges which operates on Ubuntu. I haven't seen any college operating on Mac. So, it is better to stick with the technology used in your college. If you want to learn programming languages which you will be studying in your BCA course then you can check out this app "BCA - Course Programming" which is specially designed and developed for BCA students and is available on Google Play Store. Hello, You should be familiar with concepts of networking using Cisco routers and switches as well as subnets, and VLANs. The concepts are widely used through out the CCNA Sec course. Android Development is not outdated, but it is surely saturated because many people think and develop apps for Android and completely neglects the potential of iOS. I mean you can target highly potential audience in iOS which is willing to pay for the services they want to use. Whereas in Android, Play Store is stuffed with various similar apps.
