OTET

The frequency for the conduct of the OTET exam is decided by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. Generally, the OTET exam is condcuted once a year. However, the BSE Odisha held the OTET exam twice in the year 2022. It may be noted here that the OTET exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to appear for Paper 1 and candidates who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to appear for Paper 2.

The OTET exam is not a difficult one to crack. The difficulty level of the OTET exam varries on multiple factors including level of preparation, understanding of the subjects and types of questions asked in the exam. Candidates need to cover the entire OTET syllabus to perform well in the exam. Clearing the OTET exam requires candidates to have an understanding of the latest exam pattern and syllabus, clarity of basics, strong conceptual knowledge, and the ability to solve questions within the allotted time. 

The OTET exam stands for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test. It is an eligibility test conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as primary or upper primary teachers in Government/Government Aided schools of Odisha. The exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. The OTET exam is qualifying in nature. The exam has two papers - Category A (Paper 1) and Category B (Paper 2).

OTET application form 2025 has been released by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. The Special OTET 2025 registration began on May 9, 2025 on the official website. Eligible candidates need to apply online for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2025 exam. Candidates need to carry out the registration, uploading of important documents and application fee payment for successful submission of the online application form.

The BSE Odisha conducted the Special OTET exam on September 27, 2025 offline in pen & paper mode. Candidates were required to make their answers on the OTET OMR Sheets given to them at the exam centres. The OTET question paper contains questions based on the prescribed syllabus and exam pattern. 

The OTET 2025 notification was released on May 9, 2025 for the Special OTET (SOTET) exam. The Special OTET notification has been released on the official website by the BSE Odisha. The notification for the OTET 2025 exam is available as a PDF download file containing the important details related to the exam including application process, exam dates, eligibility criteria, patter, syllabus and others. Candidates need to go through the official notification carefully before applying online.

1. Go to the BSE Odisha website.
2. Click on the "OTET" tab.
3. Click on the "Paper 1" link.
4. The OTET Paper 1 will be in PDF format.
5. Click on the "Download" button to download the PDF file.

The medium of the OTET (Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is generally conducted in both English and Odia languages. Candidates have the option to choose their preferred medium while filling out the application form for the exam. They can select either English or Odia as the medium for answering the questions in the exam. It is important for candidates to select the medium in which they are most comfortable and confident, as it allows them to better understand and respond to the examination questions.
