To learn singing is the first step towards becoming a singer. Learning from a reputed singer is an added advantage. Specialised voice lessons is another step towards becoming a singer. India has a classical musical tradition that is around five thousand years old. It can be purely instrumental or may feature singers who are telling ancient tales. There are also options offered by most colleges for students studying in different streams to take a performing arts class as an additional subject.
