Assam University follows seat reservations for BPharm courses becuase the university is a public university, so it follows reservations as per the rules sanctioned by the government of India. The reservations are available for different categories, such as caste, economic status, housing, disability, etc. 15% of seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The pharmaceutical Science department adopted the PCI norms and syllabus for the BPharm curriculum. The curriculum consists of various core papers under four major branches of Pharmacy like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry including Pharmaceutical Analysis along with some additional papers like Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Engineering etc.

Before filling up the BPharm application form at Assam University, it is suggested to the applicants that they should scan clearly the following documents (for uploading later) as per the size given below:

  • Candidate's Passport-size photograph – size between 150 Kb to 300 kb
  • Candidate's Signature – size max 30 Kb
  • Copies of other Testimonials – Size 150 Kb to 300 kb each

In the 'mandatory upload' section, the applicant has to upload the following clearly readable documents:

  • Passport-size photograph of the applicant.
  • Scanned signature of the applicant.
  • Scanned copy of both sides of all original testimonials (Mark sheet/ Caste Certificate/

The Assam University allowed to edit information in the BPharm application as long as the application is not submitted. Once the application is submitted, the applicant cannot change/ edit/ modify the information. For any correction in the application form, the applicant will have to visit the respective College/ Department of the university. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill up and check the application form carefully before final submission.

No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admission to the BPharm course at Assam University. To be eligible for admission, candidates must ensure that they score a decent score in the CUET-UG. Moreover, candidates who did not achieve a valid score in CUET-UG can get admission to the BPharm course with a merit list which is evaluated on the basis of candidates' scores in Class 12.

Yes, Assam University does offer a BPharm course for the duration of four years. The eligibility criteria for admission to BPharm include candidates must complete their Class 12 from the PCM/ PCB stream. For the selection process of the BPharm course, the university releases the merit according to candidates' Class 12/  CUET UG scores.

Yes, you can get admission to a B.Sc. Biochemistry (hons) programme after completing a Diploma in Pharmacy if you meet the eligibility criteria:

You must have passed class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognised board

The subjects you must have taken in class 12 are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB)

Admissions requirements for NMIMS for the M.Pharma or M.Pharma + MBA include Bachelor or Master in Pharmacy or related fields with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate. For M.Pharm+MBA, NMIMS is offering three years integrated course of 15 seats in total. They include technical courses such as Drug Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurances and management courses such as Business Communication and Management of Markets.
