Following a DPharm from IEC University, candidates have the option to enrol through lateral entry and pursue a BPharm. For this, the candidates have to appear in top entrance examinations such as OJEE, UPSEE etc. They can also work for well-known pharmaceutical firms that handle the development, preparation, testing, and research of different types of medicines. The Merit Scholarship at IEC University is purely based on the students' performance in the qualifying exam exams. A student who has scored more than 85% in Class 12 can take advantage of this scholarship programme. The scholarships are provided for first-year students only.

In recent times, a government job is more preferable than a private job. After completing a two-year Diploma in DPharm course candidates have various options that they can pursue, such as Govt. hospital Pharmacist, Drug Inspector, Drug squad in police, Regulatory Affairs Officer, etc. To get these job roles candidates are required to qualify for government exams, such as UPSC, SPSC, SSC, etc.

IEC University Solan reserves seats for the students, who belong to SC/ ST/ SEBC candidates. Additionally, the university also provides reservations for students from weaker sections of society. The percentage of seats reserved for DPharm students is not explicitly mentioned on the official website of the university. However, candidates can take the reference of reserved seats as per the government of India and the state government of Himachal Pradesh.

All applicants need to do is fulfil the eligibility requirements to ensure a seat in IEC University's DPharm programme, which includes gaining at least 45% overall in their Class 12 Science stream. Additionally, applicants must register on the university's official website.

For the 2024 academic batch of DPharm courses, the application process begins tentatively around the month of January. The admission process initially begins after candidates submit the DPharm application form online and also make the application fee payment with RBI-approved payment access from the official website of the university.

Currently, the admission process for DPharm courses at IEC University has been concluded. However, it is anticipated that the university will soon release the admission dates for the 2025 batch, as the university has opened its inquiry portal in which candidates can register themselves by providing the basic details and can ask their doubts regarding the DPharm admissions.

For admission to DPharm courses at IEC University, it released the merit list based on scores secured in higher senior secondary. However, on the official website of the university, it does mention that the first 100 students will get a special concession in fee (Direct Admission), but it doesn't mention if it applies to DPharm course. It is suggested to know more information regarding direct admission, candidates can directly contact the university either by its official website or by contacting them.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the DPharm course at IEC University is candidates must complete their Class 12 from a recognised board of education. Additionally, candidates must complete Class 12 from the Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 45%. IEC University DPharm admissions are based on merit, i.e., evaluated based on candidates' Class 12 scores.
