Haldia Institute of Pharmacy course admissions are both merit and entrance-based.
For admission to its BPharm programme, the institute accepts the scores of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). To be eligible for the BPharm admissions at the Haldia Institute of Pharmacy, candidates must have completed HSC (Class 12) or its equivalent test from a recognised board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects: Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology. The candidates must have scored at least 45% aggregate marks in the aforementioned subjects and a minimum of 40% marks in English to be eligible for BPharm admissions.
