The requirements for admission to the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy are that candidates must have secured a valid score in the BVP CET entrance exam. Additionally, there are no guidelines available on the official website of the college/ university that claims that Poona College of Pharmacy offers direct admission to the BPharm course. However, the college does have management quota seats for the BPharm course, and to get that seat, candidates must contact the college's authorised department.

The total number of BPharm seats offered at Poona College of Pharmacy, BVDU is 100. On the other hand, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences also offer 100 seats in the BPharm course. Moreover, the eligibility requirements to get admission into the BPharm course at both colleges are almost similar, in which candidates must complete Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and English with Biology/ Mathematics as subjects from a recognised board with an aggregate of 45%. 
Moreover, the accepted entrance exam for admission to the BPharm course at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and PCP, BVDU does vary.

The total tuition fee for the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy is INR 5.3 lakh. Additionally, the tuition fee for the same course at Bombay College of Pharmacy is INR 6 lakh. Hence, the tuition fee for BPharm at Poona College of Pharmacy is slightly more affordable than that of Bombay College of Pharmacy. However, apart from the fee structure, identify the goals on which you are comparing the colleges. Further, compare the colleges based on different factors, such as placement packages, ROI, recruiters, alumni feedback, reviews, etc.

To get a seat in the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy, candidates are required to complete their Class 12 from the PCM/ PCB stream with an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). Moreover, the eligibility criteria for admissions to BPharm Lateral are that candidates must complete a Diploma in Pharmacy course with a minimum of 45% aggregate.

Further, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam, i.e., BVP CET (BV PHARM UG), at the given time and schedule.

Hey. PharmD is a 6-year course (5 years study + 1-year hospital internship) focused on clinical pharmacy and patient care. It's great if you're interested in working in hospitals, drug safety, or clinical research.

 

You can do it after 12th with PCB or after D.Pharm. Some top colleges offering PharmD in India are Manipal University, Jamia Hamdard (Delhi), LM College (Ahmedabad), and Bangalore College of Pharmacy.

 

Fees vary a lot — from ?3 to ?20 Lacs depending on the college.

The total number of seats offered in the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy is sanctioned by the Pharmacy Council of India. Moreover, the rules and regulations about seat reservation allotment, release of the merit list, and the counselling process are regulated by the BVDU. Each semester of the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy consists of not less than 100 working days. The odd semesters shall be conducted from June/ July to November/ December, and the even semesters are usually held from December/ January to May/ June in every calendar year. Moreover, candidates must maintain an 80% in each semester for a smooth flow.

The course of study for BPharm at PCP, BVDU extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The curriculum and syllabus for the programme shall be prescribed from time to time by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. the names of the subjects offered in the first semester are as follows:

  • Human Anatomy and Physiology I—Theory
  • Pharmaceutical Analysis 
  • Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmaceutical Inorganic Chemistry
  • Communication skills
  • Remedial Biology/ Remedial Mathematics
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology

Yes, according to the information available on the official sources of Poona College of Pharmacy, if a candidate is unable to attend the counselling and on-the-spot admission at their given schedule, as notified on the website. They can authorise another responsible individual to represent them at the time of counselling. Moreover, the representative must carry the letter of authorisation.

The following certificate in original, along with two self-attested copies each of the same and one set of soft copies, is to be submitted at the time of counselling and on-the-spot admission for the BPharm course at Poona College of Pharmacy:

  • Entrance Test result
  • Class 10 and Class 12 results 
  • Statement of marks of DPharm I and II year (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate/Leaving Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
