GPAT 2021 exam was conducted on February 27, 2021 and the GPAT 2021 admit card was made available on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 13, 2021. Candidates have to login to their accounts to download the admit card. The last date to submit the application form was January 30, 2021. The last date to upload documents and pay application fee was January 31, 2021. The NTA is expected to release the GPAT 2021 result tentatively in the first week of March 2021.
About GPAT 2021
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct GPAT 2021 exam or the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test Testing Agency for admission to MPharma or equivalent courses. The scores of GPAT are accepted by 800 participating institutes and all the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions and universities. GPAT exam was conducted by AICTE up to 2017.
Last year, a total of 48,360 appeared candidates only 4,913 candidates were able to qualify the GPAT 2020 exam. As many as 43,447 candidates were not able to qualify the national level entrance exam. The scores of GPAT 2021 will be accepted by 800 participating institutes which are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2021
GPAT 2021 eligibility criteria is set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which determines the ability and basic acumen of the candidate to appear for the GPAT 2021 exam. Below are the criteria for GPAT 2021:
- The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination of a bachelor’s degree whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2021-22 can also apply for GPAT 2021.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2021 exam

GPAT 2020 Exam Stats
NTA has released the stats regarding the number of candidates registered for GPAT 2020 on January 27, 2020 on their official website. The number of registered candidates were 50,975 and the actual number of candidates appeared were 48,360. The exam was concluded on January 28, 2021 (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). Hence, we have gathered some statistics from the last year mentioned in the infographic below.
GPAT 2021 Student Reaction
GPAT 2021 student reaction video has been uploaded. According to the candidates there were 28 questions from each Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Chemistry. The Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics were the easiest section of the all. Pharmaceutics section was divided in to two sections. Questions were basic in nature and were concept based. GPAT 2021 Result
GPAT 2021 result has been announced by its conducting body National Testing Agency or NTA for admissions in postgraduate programmes in Pharmacy is expected to be announced in the first week of March 2021, though the NTA will soon notify about the exact GPAT 2021 result date. NTA will conduct the GPAT 2021 examination in the First week of March, tentatively. NTA has not announced the GPAT 2021 result date yet, but other important dates such as commencement of registration and application forms has been announced along with the exam date. Candidates can visit the official website of NTA GPAT 2021 and can apply for the national level exam by logging in via their mail ID and roll number.
How to check the GPAT 2021 result?
To check GPAT result 2021, candidates should follow these steps on the official website
- Candidates have to visit the official website of GPAT, ntagpat.nic.in
- After visiting the NTA website, candidates have to click on 'View GPAT 2021 Result' button appearing under new notification section
- Candidates are required to login using their application number and password/ date of birth
- Candidates have to press the 'Sign in' button and then on the 'View result' button
- The candidate's GPAT 2021 result will be displayed. Candidates can refer to the image below to know how the scorecard below
- Download or save the online scorecard. The candidates are advised to take at least 3 to 4 copies printed for future use
GPAT 2021 Admission Process
The admission process for GPAT 2021 starts by registering for the examination. Aspirants of the PG entrance test are required to register themselves on the official website. After completion of the registration process, candidates can proceed to fill the GPAT application form.
The applications undergo scrutiny after it has been successfully submitted. The applicants whose applications are accepted by the NTA will be issued the GPAT admit card. Candidates then need to appear for an online test.
GPAT result will be declared for the candidates who write the examination, following which the candidates who qualify the examination participate in the counselling rounds.
To participate in the GPAT counselling, candidates will have to apply separately to the desired institute/college. The participating institute basis the applications received released the cut-off scores. Candidates who fall inside the cutoff range get admission in that institute.
GPAT 2021 Cutoff
NTA has also released the Cutoff and merit list along with the GPAT 2021 result. The GPAT merit list consists of the list of GPAT toppers. The merit list has details such as a candidate’s name, roll number, all India rank, sectional scores, sectional percentile, overall percentile and sectional percentiles.
The merit list will contain the All India Rank (AIR) of GPAT qualifiers declared with the GPAT 2021 result. The percentile determines how many candidates have scored below a particular candidate.
A total of 4913 candidates qualified in GPAT 2020, last year, for the purpose of applying for scholarship. The Category wise GPAT 2020 Cutoff qualifying marks and the number of Candidates are as follows:

GPAT Merit List
Other than Khan Omar, who obtained 100.00 percentile, other GPAT 2020 toppers include Aastha Rohit who obtained 99.995 NTA Score (percentile) and topped among female candidates. Sheikh Shahid Ayubsab who obtained 99.187 NTA Score (percentile) and topped among Person with Disability (PwD) candidates.

NTA has advised the admission authorities to use the score awarded to the candidates as the prime parameter for allotment of seat in the AICTE approved programs, along with the other criteria as applicable. Candidate’s particulars, including Category and Person with Disability (PwD) have already been indicated as mentioned by the candidate in the online application form. In case any instance of incorrect information provided by the candidates is found at any stage, then the candidate is subjected for disqualification.

Exam Day Guidelines for GPAT 2021
NTA has set a particular guideline which is to be followed by the candidates on the exam day. Below is the GPAT 2021 exam day guideline in a nutshell.
What to carry on the exam day?
- Print copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA’s website.
- One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the GPAT Application Form)
- Original, valid and non-expired photo ID
- PWD certificate (if applicable)
What not to carry on the exam day?
- Textual material, Calculators, Docu-Pen, Slide Rule, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other electronic device
- Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc. in the examination hall is prohibited.

Q: Can I take GPAT 2021 on my personal computer?
A. No, the candidate has to take the test on a pre-assigned computer at the GPAT 2021 exam centre.
Q: What is the marking scheme for GPAT 2021?
A: Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Q: I am 32 years old. Can I apply for GPAT 2021?
A: Yes, there is no age restriction for GPAT. Therefore, you can apply for GPAT.
Q: What are the time-slots for GPAT 2021?
A: There is only one time-slot for GPAT 2021. The examination is conducted in a single shift only.

Q: Can I leave the GPAT 2021 examination hall if I complete my test before time?
