Pharmacognosy is close to Botany because it study plants, tiny bugs, and other nature things for medicine. You need to know plants to find, collect, and test them for medicine.
If you know plants, you can find right plants to study, know where they grow, how to grow them, and how to take out the good stuff for medicine.
