It is difficult to say which course has a better 'scope'. What college you've studied in, how good your portfolio is, the internships you've taken, etc., make a huge difference. Your interests and skill set should be the deciding factor when it comes to choosing a course.

As with most creative fields, new entrants begin as apprentices. Later on they may work with jewellery houses or freelance. Large exporters employ designers or select designs from eminent freelancers. Branded and designer jewellery offers openings for dealership. For getting into product designing you should go for a degree course in designing. Firstly, you should complete your 12th (from any stream with minimum of 50%) and then apply for designing entrance examinations for your chosen institute. NID is a good option for product designing.
