It is valuable but first, you need to decide why you want to pursue this course. However, this course is new to India and every industry needs a product designer to design the product for them. As I know it is a very new field of learning in India, where in past people learnt a little bit about some software and was doing product designing, but time has changed and as we are developing and creating new industries we will need product designer. If you want to join product design after your 12th you can choose any stream. However, if you choose any stream with mathematics it will help you to understand more about product design.
