MS in project management includes implementation of new projects, things to be implemented including estimated cost, implementation of new technologies, etc. whereas MS in petroleum engineering would give you a regular job. Therefore, if possible, prefer MS in project management.

You are advised to undertake training from PMI training center and appear for certification exam to obtain PMP certification. It is the most accepted certification across the world. You may also evaluate PRINCE2 certification.

As a fresher if you pursue MBA after B.Tech then you may get a good salary package and it depends on the placement of college and your knowledge. As a fresher, salary would be less but if you get some experience and then pursue this course then you will get good salary and growth in your career.
