International students can apply for UCSD admissions from August 1 once the UC application opens. The University of California San Diego application deadline is from October 1 to November 30. The University of California San Diego enrolls for the Fall term only and students can apply a year before by using the UC Application.

International students who are looking to get into the University of California San Diego must earn a GPA of 3.4 (or better) with no grade lower than a "C". The mentioned GPA is for undergraduate admission for international students.

The University of California San Diego and the University of California Irvine are ranked among the top 100 universities in the world since 2019 by Times Higher Education ranking. Both UCSD and UCI are land-grant reserch universities and part of the University of California system. The University of California San Diego offers hundreds of courses to international studets. As per the US News and World Report 2023, the top 3 majors at UCSD are Biomedical Sciences, Computer Sciences, and Economics. The US News ranked UCSD #8 in Biomedical, #11 in Computer Science and #18 in Economics in its 2023 edition.

There are over 240+ University of California San Diego courses available for international students at the Bachelors, Masters, and doctorate levels. Students can choose any of the courses from 171 Bachelors, 69 Masters, and 1 doctorate programme to apply for admission. Just make sure that every programme has its own admission requirements and you need to meet that requirement to study.

It is a decent university. However, it is private and not-for-profit so the tuition fee will be very high. Plus the living costs of San Diego is also a very expensive city to live in. So overall studying there could be costly.
