International students are required to submit the following details while applying to San Diego State.

  • Completion of high school/secondary level.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (B grade or 80 percent) or higher.
  • English Proficiency proof:
    • TOEFL – Passing score is 80 iBT/550 paper or higher.
    • IELTS – Passing overall score is 6.5 or higher.
    • Pearson Test of English (PTE) – Passing score is 58 or higher.
    • Duolingo English Test score of 105 or higher

There are over 240+ University of California San Diego courses available for international students at the Bachelors, Masters, and doctorate levels. Students can choose any of the courses from 171 Bachelors, 69 Masters, and 1 doctorate programme to apply for admission. It is a decent university. However, it is private and not-for-profit so the tuition fee will be very high. Plus the living costs of San Diego is also a very expensive city to live in. So overall studying there could be costly.
