The University of San Diego admission requirements for international students may differ programme wise. However, general requirements are:
- Submission of application through Common App for UG applicants and online application for PG applicants.

- Submission of required transcripts

The GPA requirement at the University of San Diego differs program-wise. However, the general required GPA at the university is 2.75 or higher. USD considers a student’s GPA to be a very important factor in admission consideration. Other requirements include university or high school transcripts and English language proficiency score. However, University of San Diego is test free for undergraduate applicants.

According to alumni of USD, the university provides great housing facilities for freshmen students who want to live on-campus. First-year students of USD can live at Maher Hall and The Valley. Maher Hall is one of the most popular residence hall of the university. It has multiple room setups, common areas, study spaces, etc. at Maher Hall. On the other hand, The Valley consists of numerous multiple residential buildings as well as a gym, space for outdoor recreation, and a café.
