The university conducts its own test for B.Tech and to be eligible for the same you need to have 45% aggregate in your 12th Board Exams. The university also accepts JEE Main exam scores so you can apply through that also. So all in all either you need to clear a National/State level exam and if you have not done that you enter the college with its own entrance exam.

The placements are decent given in this college. It has a placement rate of around 90% which basically means that there are high chances that you might get placed. The packages are not too good though. The highest HR package recorded was around 6.5 LPA and the lowest was around 3 LPA so if nothing else you can at least get a job of around 25000 after passing out from here and meet your basic needs.

The highest package goes up to 12LPA for B.Tech students which is pretty decent and the average package can be around 5LPA. Many companies come to the college for placement which includes companies like HDFC, TCS etc. and as claimed by the college, it has a placement rate of 95% so even if you are not too good at studies and doesn't hold the top rank in your batch the chances of you getting placed are still pretty high.

The college is fairly good and the best part about this college is the faculty it offers. Even if you are not that much knowledgable about the field, the faculty helps you a lot. Placements are decent but do not expect much. Infrastructure is also good and overall you can have a nice social life and get the best 4 years of your life. Located on the Ranchi-Purulia highway and approximately 10kms away from Ranchi it is fairly connected to the city too.
