Saveetha University has several scholarships/ freeships available to BCom students based on academic merit, benevolent status and carrying out research. Scholarships are provided for partial or full tuition fees and the awarding of such scholarships is at the discretion of the selection panel. The names of some available scholarships are:
- Central Sector Scheme
- Merit Cum Means Scholarship
- Ishan Uday Special Scholarship

To apply offline for SIMATS BCom course, candidates must go to the admissions office in Chennai, where they receive the application form and prospectus after paying INR 1,000 in cash or by DD. Further, candidates must complete the application form according to the guidelines in the prospectus and mail the completed and signed document to the specified address. Candidates must complete the admission process within the date and specified time.

While filling out the application form, candidates can choose multiple BCom specialisations available at Saveetha University. However, after the release of the merit list candidates can join only one programme according to the eligibility criteria they're qualifying. Before applying for BCom courses candidates must note that they can pursue only one undergraduate programme at a time. However, Saveetha University provides free foreign language courses through language labs and certification programmes from respective departments, which students can apply to simultaneously with their degree. For the academic year 2025, the university has opened the BPharm application process. The SIMAT Chennai BPharm deadline hasn't been announced yet. However, according to the admission dates for 2024, Saveetha University ended the application process in the final week of June 2024. For this time as well, the admissions dates may be similar.
