School of Studies in Library and Information Science include several such departments providing courses on advanced study of principles and practices of Library Science and Information. Courses usually extends upto three years, but normally two years only as it is a Masters course. Best Institutions for Library Science and Information in India are IIT Kharagpur, IISc Banglore, University of Hyderabad etc. Admission process would be mostly on the baisis of CUET PG. Basic eligibility is undergraduation in any Bachelor course.

M.Lib.Isc without gate. Admission requirement: merit, 60% and entrance exam score, 40%. Qualification: BLISc or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks. Non-gate applicants eligible to apply on the institute level entrance examination or in the university-level exams. Application fee is around Rs 500-1000.
