General English:

  • Norman Lewis' Word Power Made Easy and Wren & Martin's High School English Grammar and Composition are helpful resources. SP Bakshi's Objective General English focuses on general awareness. There are multiple-choice questions in four areas of the SET exam. Each portion of the SET question paper has a distinct sectional weight. There are sixteen questions in the areas on general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, and general English. Every question is worth one mark. There are twelve multiple-choice questions in the SET exam paper's Analytical and Logical Reasoning section. Each question is worth one mark. There is no deduction for wrong answers.

General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and General English are the three areas of the SET exam that have equal weighting. If a question is answered correctly, one mark is awarded. Both wrongly marked answers and unanswered questions do not result in a mark deduction or a negative mark. Analytical and Logical Reasoning, the final section of the SET exam, is the one with the least weight. This portion consists of just 12 questions, each worth one mark.
