Sikkim University, Gangtok is not a private university. It is a central university established under an Act of Parliament of India. The university is fully funded by the University Grants Commission in New Delhi. The university has six schools of studies and 32 academic departments offering various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. The university is currently located in Gangtok, the state capital, and operates from several rented buildings located along NH-10. The main administrative office of the university is located at Samdur, 6th Mile, Tadong. The permanent campus of the university is under construction at Yangang

For admission in Sikkim University students need to appear for CUET. The minimum eligibility is class 12 with 45-55% graduation with 50% and selection will be based on CUET.

If the candidate takes the Sikkim University Admission 2023 graduation then the candidate must be required the 50% marks in the 12th class. If the candidate from the SC/ST/OBC/PWD category then-candidate must be required the 45% marks in the 12th class. and the selection is based on merits
