The campus life is great because sikkim is a state full of culture and you will enjoy your campus with your friends. 

Although sometimes you will feel negative about thinking about your future as it is tier 2-3 university but you will enjoy alot.

The fest and events are done regularly that engaged students for doing something different than academics.

Placement time- 

Now it can be tough for the students who did not prepared or studied much because here not every students get placed because it is not a tier 1 college, so you have to compete with the students by preparing hard for the placements.

So it can be hectic for the mediocre students.

Faculties and academics- 

Generally maximum faculty members are good and helps the students in every field but there are always some faculty members that are not interested in teaching or helping the students, so avoid those teachers and prepare by yourself in those subjects. 

Overall it is a good university to take admission.

I will rate overall a 7.5/10.

countries.

b) Persons of Indian Origin (PIO): A person who or whose any of

ancestors was an Indian national and who is presently holding

another country’s citizenship/ nationality i.e. he /she is holding

foreign passport.

d. Non Resident Indians (NRI): An Indian citizen who is residing

outside India and holds an Indian Passport. Only those NonResident Indian students who have studied and passed the

qualifying examinations from schools or colleges in foreign

countries will be included as foreign students. This will include

the students studying in the school or colleges situated in

foreign countries even if affiliated to the Boards of Secondary

Education or Universities located in India, but will not include

students studying in those schools or colleges (situated in India)

and affiliated to the Boards of Secondary Examinations from

Boards or Universities located in foreign countries as external

students and dependants of NRI studying in India will not be

included as Foreign students.

Note: Entry level status of foreign students on entry to the country

will be maintained.

ADMISSION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

a) Admission of foreign students will be granted in accordance

with prospectus and/or on receipt of application through

diplomatic channels (i.e. routed through Indian

Missions/Ministry of External Affairs) on qualifying the test

prescribed for the purpose.

b) The last date for such admission shall be 14th August each year.

c) The admission shall be subject to production of following

documents:

Proof of date of birth

Certificate and mark-sheet of qualifying examination

Equivalency certificate issued by AIU (? )

Copy of passport for foreign citizens, wherever applicable

Dual citizenship card for PIO, wherever applicable

NRI status certificate, wherever applicable

required application fee

Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical

practitioner

Character certificate from the Institute last attended

A certificate from the nearest Police Station that no

vigilance/disciplinary case pending or being contemplated

against him/her.

Migration / Transfer Certificate (in original)

the highest sports participation certificate of preceding four

academic years

Six copies of passport size photograph

d) The foreign student shall be subject to the rules and regulation

UDAAN: UDAAN has been consistently performing in various inter- and intra-college dance competitions and events and has always won the heart of audience. UDAAN came together to represent SMIT in Kaalrav ’16 and ‘17 and secured Second Prize in the Group Dance Competition. The soul and whole motive of UDAAN is to entertain people and express themselves which is reflected in their performance.

CHROMATIX: Chromatix is the first ever Music Club of SMIT founded and established in the year 2016.The club functions as a family and gives platform for the daily advancement of an individual.
