To be eligible for B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT, Sonepat, applicants must have successfully completed their 10+2 education with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). The admission process for this course at IIIT Sonepat is conducted through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority), which takes into consideration the candidates' rank in the JEE Main examination. Consequently, individuals who have qualified in the JEE Main examination are allocated seats during the JoSAA counseling process. This ensures that the selection is based on the candidates' performance in the JEE Main exam and their ranking in relation to other applicants.

If a student scores around 95 percentile in the JEE Main exams, then he is safe to get into the course. 

The PhD Program is offered for both Full time as well as in working professional mode in (Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) & Information Technology (IT), and Allied Subjects – English covering following Major areas of Research.

• For Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology, applicants should possess a Master's degree such as M.Tech, M.E, or MCA+M.Tech in relevant disciplines, with a First Class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) or a CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience is required.

• Desirable qualifications include a valid GATE Score or an equivalent exam.

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with a First Class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) or a CPI/CGPA greater than 6.75 (6 for SC/ST/PwD) on a 10-point scale. Moreover, a minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience is essential.

The fee structure for B.Tech in IT in IIT, Sonepat includes the tuition fee, student activity fee, institute development fee, skill development and education tour costs, examination fee, medical insurance, alumni fee, student welfare fund, admission/registration fee, watch and ward/transportation expenses, institute security fee, library security fee, hostel room rent, caution money, double seater room charges, and mess charges.
