Direct admission to join the M.A. programs at South Campus, Delhi University, is usually not possible. the admission for M. A. is given mostly on entrance aptitude tests inclusive of the CUET-PG, and academic performance. Thus, each of them may have its requirements for participants' admission and choice and interviews for some courses.

Although some universities follow first-year direct admission for some categories of students (such as reserved seats) South Campus has generally been merit-based.

For the 2024 admissions, the specific cutoffs vary by specialization, but for popular programs, the general category cutoffs are as follows :

M.A. in English: It is estimated that it rendered about 90-95 percentiles.

M.A. in Hindi: around 85-90 percentile

M.A. in Political Science: roughly 87-92 percentile

The recent data shows that the average package for M.A. students in the year 2023 has settled to around Rs. 15.5 LPA. Compared to what was seen years ago, this package is very significant and much higher, showing a very positive growth trend for the placement of M.A. graduates from South Campus.

 

Again, this number, as discussed above, is only an average figure, and the packages differ considerably from one student to another.
