The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) is one of the largest exams in India based on the number of candidates appearing for the exam every year. The name of the exam, CHSL, comes from the educational qualification required from candidates to appear for the exam. The exam is conducted by the SSC to recruit candidates for various posts including LDC, JSA, PA, SA, and DEO in different ministries or departments of the Government of India. The CHSL exam recruitment includes clerical and non-technical jobs as well in various ministries and organizations with central government officers.
