Its good to aim so high. Stanford being one of the most selective require applicants to be academically outstanding and heavily involved in extra curricular activities. To be considered for admission in any US university you must take SAT, SAT subject test (optional) and TOEFL. I will suggest you to take a look at the QnA links below for more clarification. Instrumentation engineering or Automation and Control is a specialized branch of electrical and electronic engineering hence you can find details under the EE page of the university.
