It is interesting to note that a range of scholarships for international students are offered by external agencies and philanthropists. Also, Indian students can avail one of the following scholarships in order to reduce the expensive cost of studying in USA:

Fulfilling the required Grade Point Average is one of the major Carnegie Mellon University entry requirements. International students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), in order to boost their chances of getting admitted in the university. Apart from fulfilling the academic qualifications, some of the best practices that students can follow to secure an admission in CMU Pittsburgh include acquiring strong letters of recommendations, submission of high English language proficiency scores and standardized test scores.

For the initial screening of the applications, TUM may look for the following:

  • The reputation of previous universities attended. The selection coordinator would usually open the website of the institutes mentioned in the CV to see what that particular university has been doing. In some case, they might look at the university’s accreditation
  • To get admission to TUM, the academic records are very important
  • International outlook in research and innovation is also checked. The CV gives the committee a good idea about your outlook, the fields where you have studied and the areas in which you want to specialize
