Students starting their first semester at Texas A&M University should keep the following things in mind:

  • Make an effort to be social. Try to make friends and grow your network
  • Join clubs, take part in extra-curriculars, explore things outside the class
  • Ask intelligent questions during your classes
  • Learn to cook as relying on cafes and restaurants for food will not make a very good choice
  • Do not be afraid to ask for help. Use tutoring and resources available at the university
