University of Brunswick is not the most competitive university to get into as its acceptance rate lies in the range of 70-80%. This figure tells us that almost 70-80 out of every 100 applicants manage to get enrolled in UNB, which is more than half of all the applicants. Once an applicant fulfills University of New Brunswick admission requirements, ie; academic qualifications, English language requirements as well as relevant documents, they are most likely to secure an admission in the university. However, students must not take this lightly and apply to UNB within the deadlines in order to get enrolled as a student.

Requirements for studying in Canada for Indian students change depending on the levels and study programs. Indian students must meet a minimum English language requirement for each course, regardless of level - undergraduate or master's. For the Humanities stream in class XII, the minimum percentage required to study in Canada is 65% and above for the Science/Commerce stream, it is 70–80% and above.
