The concerned state government funds these universities and hence their fees etc. are very minimal. However, these have made a name for themselves in a very short period. As a result of this, many top-notch recruiters come to these NLUs during placements season. This Institute was formally inaugurated by the then President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad on 12th December 1957. The governing council of this Institute is the who is who of Indian Legal Heirarchy.
