Q:   Is ILI admission merit-based?
A: 

Indian Law Institute accept admission based on a entrance exam - ILICAT for LLM and PhD courses. Admission to PG Diploma can be done on the basis of merit. For PG diploma, candidates must have PG degree in any stream, while Labour Law Diploma requires LLB/MA in Social Science. Also an additional 5% weightage will be given to the Law graduates/ CA/ CMA/ CS.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Indian Law Institute, is perhaps one of the oldest educational institutes in Delhi. It was established in the year 1956 and since then has come up in a big way. Now it has attained the status of deemed to be university and hence awards it's own degrees. It's more famous for research oriented curriculum for almost all the courses. This Institute offers 1 year duration LLM. The total intake for this course is restricted to just about 39 seats. The total tuition fees for the year works out to be about ?1.4 lakh. The only eligibility criteria it has is that the student must secure at least 50% marks in the graduation examination. For seeking entry in this course there is no entrance examination but the seats are filled up only based on merit of the candidate.
