The university accepts the following qualification as satisfying the English language requirements for entry to undergraduate or graduate degree

·      IELTS overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each section

Exemption for English Language Requirements 

Students are exempted from the university's English language requirements if they have completed their first degree in the English language medium in a majority English-speaking country, or if they have passed one of the following: 

• Indian Grade XII - English minimum 70%
• GCSE or O Level English language grade C or above validated in the UK
• TOEFL IBT - Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20, Writing: 17
• Pearson PTE - Listening: 51, Reading: 51, Speaking: 51, Writing: 51
• Duolingo - Minimum 90 in each category

For admission to MSc in Computer Science, applicants must have 12 years of schooling + a 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant area* with mathematics as a subject either at the Bachelor’s level or at the 10+2 (12th class) level from an institution recognised by the government of any of the SAARC countries, with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade. For admission to MSc in Economics, Sociology, International Relations and Legal Studies, the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria is 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying degree.
